That’s how PoRa works — it randomly checks if Storage Nodes are actually storing the data they claim to. If they pass the check, they earn rewards.

How to Run It with a High Chance of Earning Rewards
Step 1:
Purchase a node using the nodes.garden service. Select OG Labs Storage and click Purchase.

Step 2:
Claim test tokens through the faucet. Go to the provided link, connect your Twitter account (must have more than 10 followers), and enter your wallet address.
You can find your wallet address using your personal dashboard on our platform:
- Go to Nodes
- Wait for your node to be deployed (this may take up to 24 hours — the status will change from Queue to Online)
- Once online, click on your node and view the Node Data (click on the blurred area)
Congratulations! You've successfully run your 0G Storage Node with this simple procedure!
Step 3 (not required):
Track your node activity.
After your node is online and funded with test tokens, you can copy your wallet address and paste it into the 0G block explorer: https://chainscan-newton.0g.ai/
This lets you monitor any transactions created by your node.
Important: Regular transactions are not expected. Your node might or might not produce a transaction, it all depends on competition. That’s how the 0G storage node system works: nodes compete to generate PoRA transactions. It’s normal for some operators not to see any transactions for a week or even longer
Just make sure your node stays online, it might eventually generate a transaction, but because of the intense competition between storage nodes, there’s no guarantee.
